Fan-Made Ad of the Day: From the funny folks who brought you the best Doritos Super Bowl spot that won’t appear during the Super Bowl comes another great Doritos Super Bowl spot that was simply too good for Doritos to air. (That must be the reason it didn’t win their Crash the Super Bowl competition because I could think for a thousand years and still be unable to come up with a better explanation.)

Super Bowl: First official trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, which just aired during the second quarter of the Super Bowl. A release date has been set for July 22.

Nerdgasm alert. Didn’t think I’d be saying that again anytime soon. Now this looks like a big budget marvel movie. I’m sorry Thor is looking a little second rate to me. It’s kind of like Captain America=Spiderman and Thor=Daredevil. Now before you yell at me, I mean this in terms of promotion and budget.(now you can yell) When I saw the first Thor movie and following trailers I felt and overwhelming “meh” in the back of my throat. Not with this trailer though

J.J. Abrams “Super 8”

I don’t have cable (and my definition of cable is having access to ANY television channels, trust me I’ve had this misunderstanding come up more than once), so I didn’t really get a chance to watch this year’s Super Bowl live, but I am catching up on the trailers and ads that debuted. And finally J.J. Abrams is finally ready to show us a little more of his “Super 8” movie.
